What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Resilient.  Moral compass: Hughes Marino Core Values.  What is your greatest joy? My family, and especially my granddaughter, Gracie.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Traveling.  How do you relieve stress? Working out.  What is your go-to workout? I have a specific routine; different depending on where I am.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? A walk with my wife holding hands.

What was your first paying job? A paper route.  I also worked as a golf caddie.  What was your favorite college course? I enjoyed all of my real estate and business courses.  What book have you repeatedly read? Onward, by Howard Schultz.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My wife, Shay.  What is your go-to source of news and information? The Wall Street Journal.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? Growing up with very little financial resources.   

What message do you want to send out into the world?

Talent trumps experience in most cases. 

What mega-trend most excites you? Technology advances, especially within the life science industry.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Russian and Chinese aggression.  

As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A bull rider.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? My wife’s computer!  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family.  What advice would you give your younger self? Enjoy the journey, every day.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? My wedding day; it was a big blur!
