Recent professional development: I just started my MBA program at Southern New Hampshire University. Latest accomplishment: I recently became a certified Mental Health First Aid Responder. This is important to me as I want to be able to properly support someone in a moment of crisis. Latest contribution to others: I have spent the past 12 months developing an in-depth training program for team leads and management team members. A hand-painted sign by a dear friend with a quote that reads, “Do no fear failure but be terrified of regret - Deshauna Barber”. Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My Aunt Sue. She is a nurse, my original dream career, and while growing in her profession, she raised her triplet babies. The perfect combination of motherhood and success. What is your favorite app? TikTok. It’s both entertaining and educational. I’ve learned so many fun life hacks. What world event has had the greatest influence on your life? Without a doubt, COVID. The most significant influence, as a mother, as a professional and as a human.

At the lake, with my husband and kids, just enjoying each other’s company and reveling in the peace that comes with nature. What advice would you give your younger self? Live your life intentionally.
