Current project: Working on finishing a short story for publication. Writing crime fiction is a great stress reliever! Recent recognition: Accepted to CHIEF, the only private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. Recent professional development: Appointed to the Board of Directors for Nerdy Girl Success (“Changing the Landscape of Leadership”). Latest accomplishment: A colleague told me I was “such a bright light in her life” after providing some advice and support. This might be the best thing ever. Latest contribution to others: Coaching. My day is complete if I have a chance to support, nurture or encourage others. Last book read: The Infinite Game, by Simon Sinek.
What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Intentional. Moral compass: Intuition. It’s never wrong. What is your guilty pleasure? TikTok. What natural talent have you neglected? Writing for pleasure. What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Teachers. They build the foundational skills for all other professional roles. What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? The ocean, preferably with a beach.
What movie have you repeatedly watched? The Princess Bride. Who has had the greatest influence on your life? My parents! They emphasized education and travel. What is the best advice you received growing up? See as much of the world as you can, and learn something everywhere you go. What is the best advice you received in your career? Only you can manage your reputation – take charge and care of it. What company or organization do you most admire? Patagonia. Authentic and true to their mission and vision.

Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My dad. As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A marine biologist studying endangered marine mammals. What object would you first save from your burning home? All my photos and scrapbooks. What advice would you give your younger self? Be bold! Change jobs, vacation alone and be brave.
