Business owners and military personnel. How do you relieve stress? Going on long walks with my dog while listening to a good podcast. What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Family, friends, great food and a room away from the elevator.
What’s recently made you laugh? 17 year olds dial a rotary phone (YouTube). What’s recently inspired you? A video clip of a dad reminding other parents that, at home, we are living in “the lab” where kids are just figuring out how to be humans, how to behave and how to be themselves.
What was your first paying job? At Baskin-Robbins. My right forearm got huge from scooping so much ice cream. What book have you repeatedly read? The Most Important Thing Illuminated, by Howard Marks. Also, The 38 Letters from J.D. Rockefeller to His Son, by G. Ng. Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My wife. What’s the best advice you received growing up? Be curious and try your best to think ahead. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Work hard, keep moving and be honest. What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? Growing up as a student-athlete, which taught me how to manage my time effectively, how to be mindful of other people, how to compete, and perhaps most importantly, how to bounce back from disappointment.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Perseverance. Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My grandfather, who fought in WWII. He passed away when I was young.
