Home: Los Angeles, CA. Profession: Marketing, in tech and entertainment. Organization: iDigress. Title: Founder. Pronouns: She/Her/Hers. Alma mater: USC; Cal State, Fullerton.
Current project: Providing fractional CMO and consulting services in tech while also working on a publishing project in tabletop gaming. Latest accomplishment: Led marketing at Spiketrap, an audience insights and contextual advertising platform, from seed through its acquisition by Reddit. What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Launching iDigress, a marketing consultancy and creative studio, with my husband. Hobbies: Writing, playing video games, gathering for a session of D&D.
Personality profile: Open, authentic, curious, creative; ambiverted INFP. Moral compass: Leave the world better than you found it. Treat others how they want to be treated. What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? On experiences: dining, arcades, conventions, etc. How do you relieve stress? Meditate. Swim. Write. Play video games. Cook with my hubby. Spoil our cats. What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Begin with meditation to disconnect from the day-to-day and focus on the present.
What was your favorite childhood toy or game? A tossup, between Super Mario Bros and Legos. What movie have you repeatedly watched? The Princess Bride. What is your go-to source of creative inspiration? Games, whether video or tabletop. They offer immersive stories, fantastical worlds and an unparalleled opportunity to shape your experience. What company or organization do you most admire? Organizations evolve. I admire those that stand by their people and their ideals, particularly when it is most difficult to do so.
Put your audience first and listen before you speak. Authentic audience engagement begins with understanding. People are more than demographic or privacy permission check boxes.
What change would you like to see in the world? Universal access to higher education. The more we understand each other, the more we can come together for good. What message do you want to send out into the world? You’re the protagonist in your own story, supporting character to a few, a background extra to most. Treat the people you encounter like the stars they are, take relief in the quiet of the backstage, enjoy the show when you can and remember your mic is always on.
Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My grandparents. After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? The urn for Munchkin, my first cat, followed by a bin labeled “THE BOX” containing important and sentimental papers. What advice would you give your younger self? Speak up. What day in your life would you choose to re-live? Our wedding day. We had so many loved ones in attendance and it flew by so quickly!
Personal motto: “If you look for the light, you can often find it. If you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see” (Uncle Iroh, from The Last Airbender). Favorite quote: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return” (Eden Ahbez).
