Personality profile: Versatile, innovative, resourceful, resilient, persistent, funny.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Loyal.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Mutual respect and admiration.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Loyalty and trust.  What is your greatest joy? My children.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? On productive investments, gifts to others and charitable donations.  What is at the top of your bucket list? The 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Family.

What movie have you repeatedly watched? Blade Runner, Pulp Fiction, LA Confidential. What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Fine art, both contemporary and traditional.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Go to law school (my Dad).  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? iPhone.  What is your go-to source of news and information? The Wall Street Journal print edition, plus various online sites.  What company or organization do you most admire? Microsoft.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? Getting fired from a construction job when I was sixteen. I realized I would never work for someone else ever again.

What is your big idea?

Create an algorithm that accurately predicts the end of a patient’s life in the hospice field.

What change would you like to see in the world? World peace.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Always look on the bright side of life.  What mega-trend most excites you? Artificial intelligence capabilities and potentialities.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Just the same.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? To Dream the Impossible Dream. What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Dan Aykroyd or Will Ferrell.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Winston Churchill.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? An architect.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? Portable computers and digital devices, as they are repositories of my digital memories.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? On my boat in the Bahamas.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? 2019 – 2024.
