Recent professional development: My company has raised over $50 million in assets.  Latest accomplishment: Did a full IRONMAN Triathlon in Maryland in September 2024.  Latest contribution to others: A four-day run in Disney World to raise money for a young girl with a rare immune disease.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Becoming a a self-employed entrepreneur in 1996.  Every day is a risk.  Last book read: Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius. Recent unique acquisition: Bought myself a brand-new triathlon bike.

Personality profile: Intuitive, thorough, funny, well-read.  Moral compass: I trust my gut, and my heart.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Someone who doesn’t let finance, politics, family or other outside noise affect your relationship.  What is your greatest joy? My two sons.  What is your guilty pleasure? Scrolling through Instagram.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Vacationing with my family.  What is at the top of your bucket list? 1.5x IRONMAN in October 2025.  How do you relieve stress? Reading, running.

What was your first paying job? Selling Christmas trees on my street corner in Brooklyn.  What was your favorite college course? Accounting.  What book have you repeatedly read? Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Pictures of my family.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Tony Robbins.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Change your thoughts, change your life.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? My parents both died young, which made me really appreciate life while living.

What is your big idea?

Have the biggest boutique private equity fund in New Jersey.

What change would you like to see in the world? That humans would treat each other much better than we currently do.  What message do you want to send out into the world? This moment does not define you.  We all have the ability to change who we are and who we will become. What widely held belief do you reject? That some people are just lucky.  I don’t believe it.  What mega-trend most concerns you? The internet is terrifying.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Never Give Up, Never.  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Mark Wahlberg.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A lawyer.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? My wife bronzed my sneaker from my first marathon. How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Only with my family.  What advice would you give your younger self? If not you, then who? If not now, then when?  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? My wedding.  The births of my two sons.
