Recent professional development: Becoming a mentor for the Growth Factory, a nonprofit pre-seed accelerator and accompanying venture fund on a mission to scale truly great companies in the Greater Sacramento region. Latest accomplishment: Becoming a member of Chief, the only private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Joining a startup as one of the first ten employees. It was the best leap I ever took and it changed the trajectory of my career. Recent travel or adventure: A new family travel strategy: Year of Concerts. We go to any concert that any family member has wanted to attend (within reason!). My favorites thus far have been We are nearing the end of that year and so far my favorite concerts have been Billy Joel and Imagine Dragons. As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A physician. How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, eating good food, somewhere on the water. What advice would you give your younger self? Relax. What day in your life would you choose to re-live? One day during each of my daughters’ first month of life. I was too tired and anxious to be still and just enjoy those early days. What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? College junior year - I wish that I had done a year abroad.
