Current project: Bienvenido Empresarios.  Recent recognition: “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young and a distinguished graduate by the Ivy Football Association.  Recent professional development: Leveraging cutting-edge technology to gain a competitive edge.  A prime example is my company's EOXLive platform, the first hybrid voice/electronic platform for brokered commodity markets.  Latest accomplishment: Leading the successful expansion of our brokerage firm's digital capabilities, including the implementation of a fully integrated client portal.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Spearheading the transition from traditional brokerage practices to a fully digital, data-driven approach.  Required not only adopting new technologies, but also reshaping the way our team operated, from trading execution to client relationship management.  Hobbies: Philanthropy, football, traveling.

Personality profile: Decisive, strong-willed, confident, intuitive, passionate.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you?  Resilient.  Moral compass: The "Ripple Effect".  I consider how my actions will affect not just the immediate situation or individuals, but also the broader network of colleagues, clients and the industry itself.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? One built on a foundation of loyalty and trust leading to open communication, transparency and confidence in the integrity of one another.  What is your greatest joy? My wife and kids.  How do you relieve stress? A combination of physical activity, mindfulness practices and quality time with my family.

What was your favorite college course? Ethics in Business, which deeply influenced my perspective on leadership and decision-making.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Family photos and mementos from our travels.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My teachers, who played a pivotal role in shaping my thinking and values, encouraged my curiosity and fostered a love for learning.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Work hard and never give up.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Embrace change and be adaptable.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? My family's journey coming from another country.  My parents faced numerous challenges as they navigated a new culture, language barriers, and the uncertainties of starting over.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field?

Fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the industry.

What change would you like to see in the world? Greater empathy and understanding among individuals and communities.  What message do you want to send out into the world? We all have the power to make a difference, no matter how small our actions may seem.  Each of us has a unique role to play in shaping our communities and the world around us.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Journey of Resilience.  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? The Mexican American actor Diego Luna.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Surrounded by my family, soaking in every moment and creating lasting memories.  What advice would you give your younger self? Embrace uncertainty and take risks.  Life is full of twists and turns and it’s okay not to have everything figured out.
