Home: Salt Lake City, UT.  Age: Forty-something.  Birthplace: Germany.  Profession: Finance business partner in the industrial sector, with a major in manufacturing and field service.  Organization: Boart Longyear.  Title: Chief Financial Officer.  Significant other: My husband and favorite human, Christian, who makes me coffee every morning since we met fifteen years ago.  Alma mater: Diplom Kauffrau, FOM Essen, Germany (the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in economics).

Recent professional development: Taking classes at MIT Sloan to earn the Advanced Certificate for Executives (ACE).  Latest accomplishment: I asked for a role where I can have an impact and influence, and I have.  Recently promoted to CFO.  Hobbies: Scuba diving, cycling, listening to audio books and podcasts, walking with my two dogs.  Recent travel or adventure: A two month road trip exploring the U.S. from east to west in our Airstream, with two dogs and two bikes.  Last book read: The Gifts of Imperfections, by Brené Brown.  Recently viewed and recommended: PortfolioRocket, Soft White Underbelly and Science of People, all on YouTube.

Personality profile: Extrovert, thinker, risk-taker; fearless, curious, adventurous.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Explorer.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Diving in Bikini Atoll, in the Marshall Islands.  What is your go-to workout? Core weight training and cycling, preferably outdoors; otherwise, on my stationary bike at my home gym.

What was your first paying job? Waitress.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? Autumn in New York, and every Christmas, Holiday.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Don’t let your past define your future.  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? AI.  I’m a big fan of anything that makes my life more efficient.  What is your favorite app? LinkedIn.  What is your go-to source of creative inspiration? Music, especially from the 80s.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? Starting my apprenticeship 200 kilometers away from my small hometown.

What is your big idea? Reduce biases and zero discrimination.  What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Infusing finance business partnering and coaching finance professionals to create more insights and greater value to the business.  What change would you like to see in the world? More respect for different perspectives and beliefs.  What mega-trend most excites you? Electrification.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Fearless.  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Alecia Beth Moore Hart (aka Pink).  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? Chancellor of Germany, or a teacher or policewoman.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my husband, making a deep deco dive in the Philippines, followed by dinner on the beach.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? My early thirties.  Work was my entire identify and I forgot to enjoy life.
