Current project: Writing a book. Working on building the adult case management department at Waypoint.  Recent recognition: “Up and Coming” employee.  Hobbies: Traveling, spending time with my family, reading and running.  Recent travel or adventure: Travelled to Mexico.  Over the past fifteen years, have travelled to Jamaica nine times, Dominican Republic twice, and Mexico three times.  Last book read: Good Energy, by Casey Means.  Recent unique acquisition: A new car.

What is your greatest joy? My children.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Nursing.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Taking my children on vacation, expose them to other cultures and ways of life.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Travel.  What is your go-to workout? Running! Also, Yoga and HIIT workouts.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Warm weather, either on the ocean or visiting new and/or historical places that I can learn more about.

What was your first paying job? Babysitting.  What was your favorite college course? Human Anatomy; Psychology.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? Fed Up.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Sunflowers.  What is your favorite app? Spotify, where I can listen to music and podcasts about topics of my interests.

What is your big idea?

Create a nationwide framework of adult case management that streamlines access to essential services for adults with disabilities.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Improving cross-agency communication so clients receive faster, more holistic care.  What are your goals as a member of the community? To help and improve the lives of others.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Empathy and kindness build stronger communities.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Running Toward Gratitude.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A paediatric nurse.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? I’d start with a run, then share laughter and gratitude with my family at the beach.  What advice would you give your younger self? Care less about others’ opinions; trust your instincts.  You are enough.
