This past year I threw myself into product leadership courses to become a better partner to my colleagues and in order to strategize more effectively for the digital service I oversee. Hobbies: Living room dance parties with my kids, making fresh cocktails, travel. Last book read: One Life, by Megan Rapinoe.

What is your greatest joy? A sunset. What natural talent have you neglected? Singing. I love to sing, but only manage to do it around the house! What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Product leaders. What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Pastries and chocolate. What is at the top of your bucket list? Galapagos Islands, to get close to my Ecuadorian roots and to be close to nature with my kids. What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? A beach. What is your favorite app? Airbnb, to dream about my next trip.
Be who you are and be honest about where you come from. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Become a manager as early as possible to learn how to work with people to get things done. What advice would you give your younger self? Be strategic about career and finances earlier.
What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? My father died of AIDS when I was 18 and this changed my view of the world forever, leading me to a career in social impact. What change would you like to see in the world? LGBTQ rights, and more specifically, the right to live as you are and want to be.
