What is the best advice you received growing up? Life is tough but so are you! My grandmother said this to me when I was eight and leaving to come to America. What world event has had the greatest influence on your life? The pandemic, which made me realize the importance of making time for the family and finding joy even in the simplest moments.

What advice would you give your younger self? You can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you keep moving, you will get to a better place.
