Current project: Launching a program and curriculum to disciple business leaders with over seventy lessons.  Latest accomplishment: Built the largest widows ministry at a church in the United States.  Latest contribution to others: Spoke to business leaders and college students at Oceans Church in Irvine, CA this month.  Hobbies: Reading and meditating on the Bible.  Recent travel or adventure: Played golf at Augusta in November.  Recently viewed and recommended: The Chosen.  Recent unique acquisition: Indoor golf simulator.

Personality profile: Adventurous, leader, strategic, fun.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Integrity.  Moral compass: The Bible.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Iron sharpens iron.  Trust, respect, mutual interests, common goals, love.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Mutual trust built on transparency and excellence.  What is your greatest joy? My family: wife, daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren.  I don’t know how I could have a better relationship with any of them.  What is your guilty pleasure? Chocolate. What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Giving generously to God and to others. The last fifteen years we owned Milestone Construction, we gave at least 50% of our income to the Lord.  

What was your first paying job? Raking leaves for a neighbor.  What book have you repeatedly read? The Bible.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Verses from Scripture.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Jesus Christ. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Experience isn’t the best teacher; other people’s mistakes are the best teacher.

What is your big idea?

The Bible is full of truths and principles that will lead to success in business and life.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Helping business leaders apply biblical principles to their work and life to achieve success.  What change would you like to see in the world? That people could disagree and still get along.  What message do you want to send out into the world? God’s Ways Work.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? God’s Ways Work.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Jesus Christ.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A professional football player.  What advice would you give your younger self? Don’t get into fights.  By the time I graduated from college, I had been in thirteen car wrecks and over a hundred fist fights.  What period in your life would you choose to re-live? My college years.
